President's Report

The year ahead of us is full of potential and exciting plans!  MACPP’s mission is to  join together to promote our profession, enhance our knowledge in all aspects of the ever-changing world of public procurement, and challenge the membership of our chapter to share their talents and commit to becoming an active member of MACPP. To that end, we have scheduled chapter and social events for both professional and personal networking opportunities.

Board meetings are held in conjunction with the chapter event and open to all membership. We focus on plans to serve our diverse community, and encourage particiaption.  Board meeting dates, times and minutes are always posted on the website.

The Chapter holds monthly meetings with speakers on a wide variety of topics to inform and educate members, The opportunities for networking with members and others in the profession allow each of us to make new friends, find resources and share experiences.   If you are in government procurement and haven’t joined the Chapter, we need you!  Together, we can make a difference in our personal development and lives, our workplaces, and profession.

As the new MACPP President, I have had a great deal of support from people within our organization who have dedicated a great deal to this effort.  I am privileged to be part of leading this organization and look forward to helping the board to meet our mission. I challenge each and every member to bring your talents forward to serve to help continue to keep our chapter strong.

I am excited by the opportunities and strengths of the Chapter and our profession as seen in its members and activities.   If the “present” is a gift as the old saying states, tomorrow is a “promise” – a promise of a better future as we work together to make our profession stand tall and proud, live up to its ethical standards and deliver on service to the agencies and citizens we serve.

If there is any way I can help you this year as I serve as President, please contact me.   I am humbled by the confidence the membership has shown in me and promise you my best.
